Touchwood Theatre Company

Touchwood Theatre Company was formed in 1995 by David Bailey and John Wardle under the title of ‘Keaton and Powers’. It has had a couple of name changes over the years including 'Touchwood Productions', finally settling on its current name in 2008.

The company was established with the help of Clive Jones, former ABC cinema manager who is still currently the President.

Touchwood produce pantomimes, musicals, revues and concerts. Performing over the years at the Athenaeum Theatre, Globe Theatre, school theatres and the Devonport Playhouse.

Touchwood have staged shows such as ‘Oliver’, ‘Annie’, ‘Underneath the Arches’, ‘Annie Get Your Gun’, ‘Half a Sixpence’ and many pantomimes such as ‘Cinderella’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ and more. Their popular revues include a tribute to Plymouth’s Piers entitled ‘End of the Pier’ and ‘Opening Night’ the story of glorious old theatres.

Touchwood welcomes members from the age of to adult.

Rehearsals are mainly on Sunday evenings.
